Grande Finale: soundwerk 2011 review
30 12 2011After we’ve tossed out all the Christmas bells & wreaths we felt it’s the time to review the past 364 days a bit. Pretty much continuing our 2010 run, 2011 has been an amazing year for us at soundwerk. We had so many highlights that it’s almost hard for us to mark the important ones. First things first though: We cracked the 14.000 fans mark on Facebook. This is amazing: Thank you so much! You are the fans of our show, our tunes and constitute what it’s all about. It’s our mission to deliver the best out of the vast amount of music out there in the universe for you to enjoy. You are the reason we’re doing this so we’re very glad we’re growing like crazy!
Another highlight for parts of the crew was the Miami Music Week 2011 this year. So many good parties, friendly people, awesome music plus the blazing Ultra Music Festival made the Miami time one more to remember. Thanks a lot to all the kind people we met and that made our stay a good one. We’ll be back next year, for sure. The Ibiza season 2011 was great as well, three amazing parties in a row made us remember we’re not 18 anymore. Great time on the isle! A personal highlight was the massive support of my recent mashups from many DJs & producers around the globe. Thanks to Judge Jules, Laidback Luke, Agnelli & Nelson, Tom Watts and many more. Hard 2 beat first light was played on numerous festivals throughout this year, I had the pleasure listening to my edits on Ibiza as well. Thanks & keep supporting!
Last but not least we had an amazing year at the station: The new studio of CT das Radio is constantly improving plus we’re receiving a lot of love from the passionate guys there! Thanks to all of our partners, labels and guests in 2011 as well. You’re delivering the diversity that soundwerk is proud to deliver to it’s listeners! Keep it coming in 2012!
As the world is constantly changing we’re facing changes as well. The German divison of Armada isn’t any longer (thanks Rosalie for the good years!), the biggest magazine for electronic music in Germany “Raveline” is bankrupt these days and Judge Jules announced he’s leaving BBC Radio1 after 14 years. Tough times. You dear fans & listeners rest assured that we’ll do our every best to deliver you outstandig tunes, euphoric feelings and firsthand insights of the EDM world in 2012. Jointly: Keep on rocking!
